Esthetics

Description:
Estheticians specialize in skin care rather that hairstyling. They may also manufacture, sell, or apply cosmetics. As highly trained specialist, estheticians provide preventative care for skin and offer treatments to keep skin healthy and attractive. Unless the esthetician is also licensed dermatologist, he or she does not prescribe medication or give medical treatments. However, the estheticians are trained to detect skin problems that require medical attention.

Course Goal:
To prepare each student with clear and concise instruction to be licensed and successfully pass the state examination. In addition, to prepare each student for a successful career as an esthetician with job marketable skills, as well as, being an asset in the community in which he/she serves.
