MANICURING/ NAIL TECHNICIAN
Hours: 450 hours
Description:
Nail technology will introduce students to the fundamental theory and knowledge
required of licensed nail technicians. Within this course, emphasis is placed on safety
and sanitation procedures, bacteriology, professional ethics, and the basic skills
associated with nail and skin care, procedures within manicuring, pedicuring, nail tips,
and overlays. As well as electric filing, aromatherapy and salon business.
Goals:
To teach the students the art and technique of hands, nails, and feet, so they will be
prepared to go to work in a salon, being a manicuring specialist or to be a demonstrator
for products or a platform artist.
